Description: This project required Marcin Engineering to gather information through an existing conditions topographic survey to determine where the parking lot and driveway drainage problems were occurring. The project engineer met with the HOA to determine a strategy for collecting roof drainage and piping it away from the buildings in order to alleviate ice problems during the winter and spring. Marcin then designed a grading, drainage and storm piping plan for the townhome complex to drain the water and reroute it around the buildings and downhill. The design also included measures to grade in swales between the buildings, which allowed for positive drainage away form the building.
